Bosphorus Satellite and Space Technologies

Ground Systems & Test Equipment

Ground devices and test equipment for satellite systems.

Custom development

We build ground terminals, electrical ground support equipment, FlatSat benches and automated verification tools. Hardware, firmware and operator interfaces are developed around the spacecraft and payloads they support.

Key features

Ground devices and radio interfaces

  • UHF, S-band or X-band interface equipment matched to the selected link architecture.
  • Satellite IoT terminal electronics and embedded device software.
  • Receiver, transmitter and SDR interfaces for development and link testing.
  • Local data logging, buffering and communication with host systems.
  • Ethernet, USB, CAN and serial host interfaces.
  • Power supply, enclosure and environmental design for the intended ground use.

EGSE and FlatSat

  • Programmable or controlled power interfaces with current monitoring and protection.
  • Battery, solar-source and load-simulation interfaces.
  • Harness breakouts, test points and protected equipment access.
  • CAN/CAN FD, RS-422/RS-485, UART, Ethernet and selected SpaceWire interfaces.
  • PPS, trigger and timestamp interfaces for synchronized testing.
  • Deployment-switch, remove-before-flight and inhibit simulation.
  • RF test connections, attenuated links and controlled signal injection.
  • Accessible mounting and harness arrangements for customer or Bosphorus electronics.

Automation and simulation

  • Scripted functional, regression and acceptance tests.
  • Instrument control and synchronized capture of commands and telemetry.
  • Sensor and payload data replay.
  • Interface timeouts, corrupted packets and selected fault injection.
  • Automated limit checking and pass/fail records.
  • Unit identification, hardware/software version capture and configuration traceability.
  • Test dashboards, operator prompts and repeatable procedure execution.
  • Exportable measurement logs and verification reports.

CubeSat and SmallSat support

Compact benches support CubeSat stacks and integrated modules. Distributed benches and rack-mounted equipment support SmallSat harnessing, separated avionics and larger interface counts. The test architecture follows the spacecraft configuration and the development stage.

Hardware and software integration

Ground applications use the same command definitions, telemetry conventions and timing model as the system under test. Physical interfaces, unit conversions and valid operating limits are verified with representative hardware before the tools are used for acceptance or commissioning support.

Delivery

Equipment, firmware, test software, interface definitions, operating instructions and calibration or configuration records are delivered together. Ground equipment remains a distinct development from the flight hardware it supports.
